Answering 24/7 from our Charlotte service office
The fire and smoke restoration work we do in Charlotte
We secure, dry, clean and rebuild homes and businesses after fires. This page explains how that work runs, where it runs from, and how we talk about cost and insurance.
- Answered 24/7
- One scope, night one to rebuild
- Charlotte and Cary offices
The whole job after a fire, under one scope
After a fire we do the whole job: board-up and tarping the same night, water extraction and drying, soot removal and odor treatment, contents cleaning for belongings, and the rebuild under permit. One scope runs from the first visit to the last coat of paint, so nothing is re-measured or argued twice.
Most of our calls come from homeowners, but the same process runs for landlords, restaurants, offices and apartment buildings. Water damage without a fire, mold after a leak and cigarette odor in a rental get the same testing-first approach. The full list is on the services page.

Straight answers, labelled numbers
We do not guess at prices over the phone. Where our pages and guides give numbers, they are published planning ranges from national cost guides, labelled as such; a real figure comes from a scope written after the residue has been tested and the moisture mapped.
We document for your insurer, but your policy and your adjuster decide what is covered. When something cannot be saved, you see it and the photos before it goes.
Who writes them
The guides on this site are written by Alan Kimbrell, Restoration Guides Editor for Smoke Damage Cary. They explain the work in plain language, cite published cost ranges and local sources such as the NC Office of State Fire Marshal and Mecklenburg County, and link to the service pages that cover each job. Start with what to do first after a house fire or browse all the guides.
